Welcome back for video number two for my High Five to Thrive. These are the top 5 tips that I have found by working with some of the most successful people who are living an abundant life and really thriving and who are not just making lots of cash but making money so that they can do something, so they can create a difference in the world, so they can go out and inspire other people, so they can live their dreams and create the lifestyle that they want and create the experiences and also help others. These are the 5 things that I truly believe that will help you thrive and live the life that you want. The High Five to Thrive.
This one today, video number 2 is all about mindset. Most people create a mindset where they sort of have this idea about what they want, they might have a vision of what they want but they really don’t know how to convert that into a thinking space or belief structure or values to create their goals and dreams, the things that they truly want to create in the world.
For most people they have a disconnect between their thoughts and their thinking and the vision that they want to create and also their emotional intensity and also there actions.
In order to achieve what you want, your thinking must align with your emotional state and also your actions, because if one of those is out you get mixed results. I speak to people all the time and these can be anyone from those who have successful business, relationships, right through to people who are struggling with depression, alcohol and drug addiction, anxiety, eating disorders and so on. I find that there is a common link for the people that struggle and it is that their mind is usually not aligned with their emotions and not aligned with their actions. I will give you a great example. When I created the Success Diet, which was an online book that I just created for my clients, back in the day when I was a personal trainer, kinesiologist and doing all the health side of things. What I found was that for most people, they knew that they wanted to lose weight, they knew that they wanted to get these results yet deep inside they kept telling themselves that they were fat so they had these emotions that were constantly bringing themselves down and because of that the actions that they were taking were sporadic. One day they would get up and go to the gym and they would be right on track then the next week or the next couple of days they are back down on the couch because their brain was naturally looking for comfort. Even though they wanted the success, the happiness or whatever result with weight loss, they didn’t have their mind aligned with their emotions and their actions. They were normally going back and forth between when they were in fear or hating themselves and when they would go to the gym, after a couple of days they would self sabotage and that shows a complete disconnect and non alignment of those three things.
So if you want to create the life that you want and really thrive, it’s about aligning your thoughts, the things that you want to create, with the thinking patterns, the belief structures and the values that create amazing emotions.
Do you know now that it is scientifically proven that the electromagnetic field of the heart can be read up to 32 feet away from the body which means that our constant interactions with other people are normally through that energy field. The electromagnetic field of the brain can only be read up to 9 feet away from the body. Now that shows us that our emotional state that we are consistently in can attract and repel other people and it can also cause us pain and pleasure because we start to attract things into our lives. It also dictates our actions as it imprints every cell in our body through our emotional state. It is so important to have those three things aligned and for most people they have a disconnect especially in the areas that they struggle the most with and that is why most people avoid dealing with it. So many people may have been achieving in one or two areas of life whether it be finances, health, friendships or whatever it is and they put all their time and energy into these areas and they forget about the areas that they are struggling in that’s causing them the most pain and normally for people it is money and finances. Because money and finances seem to cause people the most pain, the most stress the most fear, the most frustration, the most anger etc.
Money isn’t everything but it allows us to create more experiences and it also allows us to create more of an abundant lifestyle so that we can get the health that we want, travel around and see the things that we want, it can also put us in an environment where people are achieving things at a high level whether it be health, relationships and so on and that is why it is important.
So now I am going to give you a bit of an action item. Write down the areas of your life that you may be struggling in a little bit and find out and ask yourself are your thoughts aligned with your emotions and aligned with your actions or is there a disconnect there. If there is a disconnect there I really hope you come to the Thrive Time event so that we can put these things back in place and give you new tips, new tools and strategies that are going to help you to thrive.
