EVERYBODY DIES, BUT NOT EVERYBODY LIVES

Increase your motivation.)
Motivation comes in many types. There is physical motivation or physical energy, mental motivation and energy, and emotional motivation and energy. If you really want to increase your motivation and energy you must continue to increase and nurture all areas, not just one. Check out my tips to give you good balance and help increase all 3 areas of motivation.
1.) What is your Motive for action (Motivation)?
This question must be answered first if you want to increase your physical, mental and emotional motivation and energy.
- What are your goals?
- What is your future vision?
- Why are these important to you?
Many people do not have clearly defined goals or a written future vision, opting for the fast way to failure which is keeping everything inside their head or even worse, not having any idea what they want their future to look like. Without knowing what you are aiming for in a clear, precise manner then winning the game of life (achieving happiness and success in all areas of life) if almost impossible.
2.) Continue to grow
A common link between highly motivated people is that they are driven to learn and grow. They do not let their past define their future and they are always looking for new ideas, strategies and ways to grow. Many highly motivated people will tell you they see spending money on their personal and professional growth as one of the best investments in their future as a good investment is one that appreciates and compounds over time. Personal and professional development does that. Highly motivated people have coaches, mentors and guides plus they also frequently attend workshops and seminars as well as read and listen to knowledge based audio programs.
3.) You are who you associate with.
This may seem a little superficial at first but let me explain.
It is now proven we have mirror neurons in the brain that adapt and reflect our environment. Studies show that over time we begin to reflect those we surround ourselves with by mirroring their behaviours, actions, vocabulary, thoughts, beliefs, values, emotions and much more.
By knowing this, it is essential to create your own environment and not just become a bi-product of your environment. We all have a choice of who we associate with. If you want to increase your motivation then it is important to find highly motivated people. At first I used to read books by highly motivated people to learn how they think while also attending cheap seminars, listening to audios, watching online videos etc as it was all I could afford at the time. Over time this has been one of the greatest principles I have found to keep me motivated and striving for bigger goals.
4.) Physical Energy is a must
Without physical energy you will never achieve mental and emotional motivation. It is essential to look after your physical health. In my next article I will cover some of the keys to increasing your physical energy and motivation. Stay tuned!
5.) Look for progress not perfection
Perfection is the enemy of progress. Highly motivated people focus on their progress and not on getting everything perfect. To be honest, perfection is like freedom, both do not exist. Nothing is ever perfect therefore many perfectionists always feel inadequate or not good enough as their fear of judgement paralyses them from taking action to finalise projects and get results. This is a massive energy drainer and thus drains your motivation.
The key is to drop the “perfectionist” title, if you subscribe to that, and call yourself a progressionist. Look for what you can do a little better than yesterday and then go and do it. Feel great about making improvements to your life and goals and you will find your energy and motivation to keep doing more will keep improving.
It’s your time to thrive!
